Public funding of science
More than 90% of IGA yearly budget is derived from competitive research grants. Science is conducted in line with strategic plans defined by public calls and grants awarded by public funding agencies.
Associate supporters
Research institutions and interested stakeholders can join and support research at IGA. Scuola Universitaria Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa is an associate supporter of IGA. Representative persons of associate supporters sit on the IGA Board of Directors.
Private investment
Important achievements at IGA were supported with private investment. Our grape varieties were developed with financial and technical support from a world leading nursery. Investors in our applied research take advantage of IGA technology platforms and expertise.
